This is for good reason, because Charismatic Christianity, in it’s purest and most God-honoring forms, is Biblical Christianity! Still today, many have fallen victim to a false view of what it truly means to follow Jesus, and the Charismatic and Renewal Movements continue to be under attack from cessationist theologians. The emphasis of Charismatic (Renewal) Christianity is the continuation of the gifts of the Holy Spirit, which are widely misunderstood by those who have not experienced them, themselves.
Proper theology merges the study of God’s Word with the human experience of knowing God through His Spirit and through personal relationship with Jesus. Because there is such an increase in the movement of the Holy Spirit upon the earth, there is a need in this hour for Charismatic Theologians to rise up to equip, teach, and impart to the body the tools that they need to complete their work of ministry.
If you perform a brief Google search of “Charismatic Christianity,” you will find that the top results repeatedly attempt to discount and invalidate the movement of the Holy Spirit that is taking place among Jesus’ followers throughout the earth. The top results cite God’s Word and call themselves “Christian,” as well, but they are widely misinterpreting the truths of the movement of God’s Holy Spirit in the signs, wonders, and miracles that followers of Jesus are witnessing and being impacted by in this hour.
